Hi, I am Saanvi Thapar. How're you doing?
(Like this flower, I hope to bloom. Photo by Amritansh Dubey on Unsplash)
I am a student, keen on books, sports and magic.
Like every teenager, I have a burning passion running through my veins — a deep-seated urge to make the world a better, brighter place.
I have bigger-than-average dreams.
I want to make it as a writer. I want to change the world. I want you all to be happy.
As I have heard, we teenagers have all the time and energy required, with wisdom yet to acquire.
A voracious reader, I delve into all genres (barring horror), from fantasy (The Lies of Locke Lamora) to fiction (A Man Called Ove) to young adult (An Ember in the Ashes) to fictional mythology (The Song of Achilles) to romance (Book Lovers) to you name it!
As an amateur writer, I wrote my first “novel” in the third standard, and I haven’t left the habit since.
I adore getting all sweaty and grimy. From here stems my passion for sports, with badminton and volleyball being my top picks.
My three idiosyncrasies:
1. Among my friends, I am famously known as the maker of the worst jokes.
2. I have a weird (read: “horrible” according to society) taste in food.
3. Not-so-secretly, I hate skimming the horror genre by any means, be it reading or watching, though I don’t mind merely listening to a story tale. The last “horror” book I read was meant for children. It was Coraline, and it even had illustrations. The last horror movie I saw? Well, I haven’t watched any yet.
After suffering from a nerve-wracking mental health issue, I am all about having a positive outlook and grinning like an idiot!
Writing holds a dear place in my heart, and it will be my ultimate destiny. Through it, I aim to spread joy and cultivate positivity.
I'll help you become a better author, thinker, and human. Join me on this journey to make the world a better, brighter place, one word at a time.
Your support would mean the world to me.
