Another year passed, impossibly fast and impossibly slow. It seems as if just a day ago we were celebrating the coming of 2023 — my turning older seems an eternity away.

At midnight, my loved ones and I wished each other, high on life.

Being surrounded by your friends and family is a wonderful feeling. We took our seats and had deep conversations. My feet were killing me due to dancing earlier; my eyes were drooping.

After some time, I bade them, eager to rest in my home.

Soon, with the air freezing outside, I was snuggled into my blanket. With my heart feeling the love, my body warm, and a book in my hands, I think I found heaven.

How did your day go?

Remember — the first day doesn’t define the rest of your year. Even if it wasn’t that pleasant, the rest of the days can be!
